What is Ultra HD 4K?

4K (also known as UHD) is an image technology that quadruples the number of pixels found within a full HD picture. These pixels are usually arranged in a 3,840 x 2,160 configuration comparative to only the 1920 x 1080 you get in a full HD TV.

The additional resolution in 4K images is a dramatic increase in detail, providing more depth and overall color saturation to the picture. The image quality results are incredibly lifelike and easily closer in comparison to the view through a window as opposed to the view of a television screen.

Within the film-making community, 4K quality has been said to reproduce the same resolution and ‘finish’ you would get with 35mm film, in pixel form.
